Superb and clearly fully fit on his return from injury, he claimed an assist for his cross which led to the first goal and could have scored himself but for a fine save.

N’Golo Kante – 8

Brilliant all round display, halting the Cherries in their tracks every time they tried to break forward on the counter and also thread the ball through to Eden Hazard for his goal.

Nemanja Matic – 7

Solid defensively and made an important contribution going forwards too, he more than justified his return to the team ahead of Cesc Fabregas.

Marcos Alonso – 9

Probably his best display since he joined the club, the Spaniard was on fire down the left flank with his superb free-kick putting the cherry on the cake. He put some excellent deliveries into the box too and posed a major threat.
