Willian – 7

Opened the scoring with a well taken strike from a set piece and was buzzing from start to finish. The game didn’t particularly suit his style, with Stoke happy to sit back deep and deny him space, but he still caused problems.

Diego Costa – 6

Always a target for Stoke given his physical style and short temper, an early yellow card suggested that it could have been one of those days for the former Atletico Madrid striker. Fortunately, he kept control and came closest when he hit the post late on.

Pedro – 6

Made some important passes as he replaced Eden Hazard, but he didn’t have quite the same impact. A quieter performance than many have come to expect from the winger given his form this season.
