How Arsenal’s players rated in their late defeat to Everton

Hector Bellerin – It wasn’t as good a performance as the one we witnessed at the weekend, but Bellerin will be pleased to have more minutes under his belt after a spell on the sidelines. He always offered an option in attack and his movement was impressive. 6

Gabriel – He came in for the injured Shkodran Mustafi and it was noticeable that Arsenal missed the German as they looked unorganised at the back. That said, the Brazilian was comfortable in possession and often stepped out to make interceptions and launch attacks. 5

Laurent Koscielny – The Frenchman is one of the best in his position, but he wasn’t great at Goodison Park. He struggled without Shkodran Mustafi and that was evident with the organisation of the back four. The two Everton goals were headers and could have been prevented had Arsenal been set up better. As captain, Koscielny needs to take his share of the blame for the defeat. 4

Nacho Monreal – He was a threat down the left wing as he exploited the space that was left by Seamus Coleman. There were a few occasions where he had a good opportunity to put a cross in, but his final ball was poor. 5
