Granit Xhaka – 7
Won’t be the name in the headlines, but his display was quietly efficient as he marshaled the midfield well with determination and some tough tackling.
Francis Coquelin – 7
His energy and drive showed yet another improvement and refused to allow West Ham any hope of a comeback, putting an end to almost every counter attack right at the start.
Theo Walcott – 6
As usual, Walcott had so much promise but his final ball was disappointing and nothing seemed to come off for him on Saturday evening.
Mesut Ozil – 8
His intelligence was really on show and every time the Hammers allowed even an inch of space to open up, the German was there to exploit it. At the heart of almost everything going forwards.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 8
A brilliant goal on what was a quality display from the youngster which will really help him to fight off the critics. Pace and strength which left Arthur Masuaku reeling for the whole 90 minutes.
