Olivier Giroud – His first Premier League start of the season and he pops up with an important late winner – you can’t ask for more from your centre-forward. Rose well to meet Ozil’s cross with a thumping header and it’s hard to deny the physical presence he brings to the side. 7.

Nacho Monreal – Replaced the injured Gibbs and comfortably saw out the remainder of the game, not having to do any defending of real note. 5.

Lucas Perez – Given 15 minutes of game time from Arsene Wenger but found himself frustrated by West Brom’s stubborn back four and couldn’t make an impact. 5.

Aaron Ramsey – Nearly made an instant effect on return from injury with a cross that just evaded Ozil and Giroud; will be a welcome sight for Arsenal fans to see him back fit and playing again. 6.
