Francis Coquelin – Completed 97% of his attempted passes in a game where he and defensive midfield partner Xhaka played West Brom out of the game. Has really grown into this Arsenal side this season, and is second only to N’Golo Kante in terms of interceptions made in opposition territory. 8.
Granit Xhaka – Has well and truly settled down into this Arsenal side after a shaky start to the Premier League season, and he looks very composed next to Coquelin. Nullified any threats from the West Brom midfielders before they could reach Arsenal’s defence. 7.
Alex Iwobi – Lacked the individual quality today to break down West Brom, with his real moment of note coming when he forced Foster into a smart save. Will be interesting to see what Wenger does when Danny Welbeck returns to full match fitness. 6.
Mesut Ozil – Celebrated his 100th Premier League appearance with another trademark clipped cross for Giroud’s winner, taking the German’s tally to 36 assists. Continued to make things tick in the Gunners’ midfield as Arsenal clocked up nearly 80% possession. 7.
Alexis Sanchez – Posed a threat all game and was unlucky not to score on a few occasions, with Foster denying him after a string of excellent saves. Also hit the post after a mazy run and showed why he has been Arsenal’s main threat in front of goal this season. 7.
