Kieran Gibbs – Chosen over Monreal once again and was targeted by Robben and Bayern throughout, unable to prevent the Dutchman from cutting inside for the opener. Pushed too far forward after the break and was caught out on numerous occasions; was at fault for the second. 5.
Laurent Koscielny – Made his mark in attack as he drew the foul from Lewandowski to earn his side a penalty. Was the shining light in defence and maintained Arsenal’s discipline extremely well for the opening 45; yet could do nothing but watch the visitor’s complete capitulation after he went off. 7.
Shkodran Mustafi – Picked up a needless early yellow up against the test of Lewandowski and this set the tone for the evening. Couldn’t compete with the physical presence of the Polish forward and was outjumped for Bayern’s second and out-thought for the third. 6.
Hector Bellerin – Escaped a first-half penalty appeal and became more adventurous as the first-half drew to a close, venturing forward for the first time. Generally had relatively little to do defensively as Bayern attacked almost exclusively on the left-flank. 6.
