Danny Welbeck – It was a rare chance to start in the Premier League for Danny Welbeck and he didn’t make the most of his opportunity. He failed to get into the game as much as he would have liked and hit the crossbar with his only good chance. 5

Alexis Sanchez – It was a typically determined display from the Chilean as he completed three tackles and one key pass. He managed to score the goal with a smart finish, but he faded after finding the net. 6

David Ospina – He has been a reliable understudy this season and looks set to have a run in the team over the coming weeks. However, he didn’t cover himself in glory this afternoon with his poor keeping for the second goal. 4

Olivier Giroud – The Frenchman is normally a threat from the bench, but he was poor during his cameo appearance on Saturday. He completed only 67% of his passes and didn’t manage to get a shot in on goal while he was on the pitch. 5

Alex Iwobi – There was little the winger could do when he was brought onto the pitch and he didn’t do a lot to comment on. N/A
