Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Although he has been one of the better performers in recent weeks, he didn’t have a chance to impress on Saturday as he was taken off early through injury. 5

Granit Xhaka – The midfielder did okay and completed three tackles during the match. However, his tackling technique remains a concern as he did pick up another yellow card for a rash tackle. 6

Aaron Ramsey – It was a huge opportunity for the Welshman, but he didn’t make the most of his opportunity. Despite scoring a goal, Ramsey was wasteful in front of goal in the first half and lacked quality in the final third. He did little to show why he should be a regular in this team. 5

Theo Walcott – The England international consistently pops up with important goals for the Gunners and his one just before half-time relieved the pressure on his team. He approached the game in a professional manner and showed why he has a big part to play over the coming weeks. 8
