Francis Coquelin – The central midfielder certainly competed in central areas and won the ball back on several occasions. He needs to be careful to control his aggression as he could have been sent off this afternoon. It was a decent performance from the Frenchman, but nothing more than that. 5

Granit Xhaka – Like his midfield partner, he needs to work harder to control his discipline as he is beginning to earn a reputation for himself. He picked up another yellow card this afternoon for a poor tackle. On the ball, he showed flashes of his quality with some good forward passes. 6

Theo Walcott – The Englishman is often given a hard time, but he has consistently supplied goals and normally steps up in big matches. He scored the first equaliser with his composure coming to the fore. It was a solid performance from the attacker before he was substituted. 6

Mesut Ozil – It was an excellent ball in from the corner to assist the second Arsenal goal and overall he did well. His intelligent movement caused problems for City, but many will feel that he can give more effort in the final third. There was a chance that came his way when the score was 2-2, but he choked at the crucial moment. 6
