Alexis Sanchez – He showed great awareness in the opening minutes as he ghosted behind the Chelsea back four and finished smartly to put his side into the lead. His movement caused a lot of problems and he created space for others in the final third. 8

Danny Welbeck – The 26-year-old led the line well, pressed the Chelsea defence and created room for the rest of the team in the final third. He hit the woodwork with a header and could have scored on another day. It was a good performance and he will be hoping to take the momentum into next season. 8
