Tottenham Hotspur have made a kind-hearted gesture in wake of their Premier League fixture with Manchester United being postponed.
On Friday, the Premier League, along with the EFL and the WSL, announced that their leagues would be suspended until 3 April at the earliest in wake of the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
Tottenham were due to host Manchester United, Jose Mourinho’s former club, on Sunday in what would have been a crucial clash in the race for the Champions League places.

Spurs, however, made sure that the food prepared for the game would not go to waste.
Tottenham confirmed on their Twitter feed that they delivered over 1,200 items to the Felix Project UK, a London-based charity which aims to tackle food waste and hunger in the capital.
The donation includes items such as milk, fruit bags, pasta and vegetables among many other items.
Plenty of fans applauded the kind gesture on social media:
As things stand, the Premier League is set to resume on 4 April, but this is subject to medical advice and conditions at the time.
As reported by The Telegraph, an April resumption appears “optimistic in the extreme”, given the disease is not forecast to peak until May or June.
