Everton midfielder Beni Baningime will be plying his trade away from Goodison Park on loan for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old has long been deemed one of the Toffees academy’s brightest youngsters, David Unsworth saying in 2019 that he “probably shouldn’t be playing at (Under-23s) level”.
However, Baningime’s Everton career has stalled since initially breaking into the first team in 2017-18, during which he made 12 senior competitive appearances.

He hasn’t played for the first team since, with a spate of injuries sadly halting his upwards trajectory.
Baningime made Everton’s Premier League matchday squad 10 times last season, but he’s had to make do with Under-23s football this term as he didn’t make the 25-man squad.
Now, Toffees icon Wayne Rooney has moved to bring the player to Derby County, a side in the lower reaches of the Championship but resurgent after three consecutive league wins.
Some Everton fans on social media have told Rams supporters that they’ve now got a great prospect in their ranks for the remainder of the season:
Baningime, whose Everton contract runs until 2022, joined Wigan Athletic in a similar loan spell in January 2019, but was restricted to just one outing for the Latics.
