‘Honestly pathetic’: Some Liverpool fans gutted by Romano transfer update

Some Liverpool fans have reacted after Fabrizio Romano tweeted that the Reds are not in negotiations over Luis Diaz.

The Italian journalist also claimed that Liverpool won’t be parting company with Divock Origi this month.

Liverpool are currently two forwards down, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane at the Africa Cup of Nations.

In recent days, the Reds have been linked with Diaz, the prolific Porto and Colombia winger.

The 24-year-old has an impressive 14 goals and five assists from 24 club appearances in all competitions this term.

Last season, Diaz produced 11 goals and six assists in all competitions for the Portuguese giants last season.

He then excelled at last summer’s Copa America.

Diaz ended the competition with four goals, the joint-top scorer alongside Argentina’s Lionel Messi.

On Friday, A Bola claimed Liverpool were planning to offer £67million for the Porto ace

This would be split as £60million up front and £7million in bonuses, claimed the report.

However, Romano has now poured cold wated on the Diaz to Liverpool speculation:
