‘Honestly don’t get it’: Liverpool fans say Klopp wrong to play Henderson CB against Brighton

Liverpool delivered a miserable performance at Anfield tonight as Brighton rolled into Merseyside to take all three points back south.

A scrappy Alzate goal was enough for the Seagulls to see off the Reds, who created little in the way of chances and were simply contained far too easily by Brighton’s defence.

There was little to shout home about for the Liverpool fans. So used to praising players on Twitter following games, there weren’t too many who stood out for the fans on social media this evening.

Among the discussion points for Reds fans was the decision from Jurgen Klopp to persist with Jordan Henderson at central defence. Indeed, even at 1-0 down, Klopp resisted the temptation to move the skipper into midfield.

And it was a point a lot of Liverpool fans were talking about this evening. It seems that, despite the love for Klopp, his decision not to move Henderson into midfield this evening has not gone down too well.
