‘His temperament is wrong’: Pundit says 26-year-old Spurs player doesn’t have the right personality

Tottenham Hotspur are flying high in the Premier League right now, but it’s clear that there is one player who is proving to be a bit of a problem.

Indeed, as much as we hate to say it, Richarlison isn’t living up to his billing at Tottenham.

The attacker isn’t finding the back of the net as often as he probably should, and speaking on his podcast, Eamon Dunphy has also questioned the striker’s personality.

Indeed, the pundit says that Richarlison’s temperament isn’t right for a top team, claiming that he’s also playing in the wrong position for Tottenham.

Richarlison has the wrong temperament

The pundit shared his verdict on the Brazilian.

“Son up front is doing really well, he scored on Friday night, that turned out to be the decisive goal. The only problem they have is Richarlison on the outside left. We know his temperament is wrong and he’s not really a winger anyway,” Dunphy said.

Not going well

It’s a shame that we’re still speaking about Richarlison in this way, because so many of his Tottenham teammates have been transformed this season.

The likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-Min Son have been back to their best so far this season, but, for some reason, Ange Postecoglou hasn’t quite been able to work the same sort of magic with Richarlison.

Why is that? Well, Dunphy suggests it’s a temperament issue, but, in the same breath, it could be said that the fact he’s playing in the wrong position isn’t helping, while Richarlison himself has also documented the fact that he’s not in the right headspace to be banging in the goals at the moment.

Richarlison was meant to be a star when he arrived for £60m, but, sadly, it hasn’t worked out that way.
