Reported Liverpool target Jamal Musiala has been described by Serge Gnabry as a “superb player” with “amazing talent”, in conversation with the Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old is deemed one of the most highly rated young talents in world football, and is reportedly sought after at both club and international level.
In September last year, Musiala became the youngest goalscorer in Bayern Munich history, netting against Schalke at 17 years and 205 days old.

He’s also Bayern’s youngest-ever player, having made his debut at 17 years and 115 days old in the club’s 3-1 win over Freiburg last June.
Liverpool, whose boss Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of Musiala, Manchester City and Manchester United are among the clubs keeping an eye on Musiala, according to the Daily Mail.
However, the outlet also claims that Bayern are ready to hand him a new deal worth in excess of £100,000-per-week to reward his progress and ward off any Premier League interest.
England and Germany are also vying for Musiala’s allegiance, having been born in Stuttgart but moving to England at a young age and representing both countries at youth level.
“Ain’t no chance we’re letting that talent go! I’m trying my best [to get him for Germany],” Gnabry told the Daily Mail.
“He’s a great, great player. The first couple of times he showed up in training we already knew he was going to be a superb player.
“His talent is amazing. He isn’t shy of anything. He has a lot of time on his hands and I hope he will continue to grow, and use his talents for Germany instead of England – to my benefit!”
TBR View:
Musiala is a superb talent who looks set to go far in the game, but considering he’s already at one of the biggest clubs in the world and is getting plenty of game time, it was always going to be difficult for any suitors to entice him away from the Allianz Arena.
In terms of international football, he’s currently playing for England’s Under-21s, so hopefully he’ll be drafted into the senior team in the coming years and commit to England at senior level – but with the likes of Gnabry trying to convince him otherwise, that battle’s not over.
