Skipp impressed Conte

“We have players that are recovering from injuries, like Skippy the last game he played was in January,” Conte told Spurs Play.

Skipp has been very unlucky over the past ten months, with two injuries halting his progress in north London.

He was a regular in Conte’s starting eleven before being ruled out for the remainder of the last campaign in February.

The Spurs academy product also picked up a foot injury during pre-season which ruled him out for the beginning of the current campaign.

But with Bissouma failing to impress and Hojbjerg currently sidelined, it could be the perfect opportunity for the youngster to force his way back into the side.

Despite being on the losing side, Skipp will be hoping to build on a promising display over the coming weeks.
