PSV Eindhoven star Hirving Lozano may have scored a goal against Tottenham Hotspur during Thursday’s 2-2 draw in the Champions League, but he also showcased another part of his game that might have had Mauricio Pochettino watching intently.
The Mexico international opened the scoring at the Philips Stadion.

Lozano was quick to pounce on Toby Alderweireld’s mistake, and ran through on goal before finishing past Hugo Lloris for his 11th goal of the season.
Although it was an uncharateristic error from the Belgian, the goal was only made possible through Lozano’s pressing – and that was something he did throughout the game.
And, of course, that is something that Pochettino drums into his own players.
Did Lozano just successfully audition for Spurs and Pochettino?
Lozano is an extremely talented winger with the ball at his feet.
He is very quick and is generally always favoured in one-on-one situations.

But his relentless pressing and work rate are two things which could really add significant value to him in the eyes of Pochettino.
Earlier this month, The Mirror reported that Spurs had sent scouts to watch Lozano after his excellent showing at the World Cup.

He has now shown Pochettino first-hand what he is all about, and the north Londoners could be encouraged to make a bid in January.
He would be a great fit for Spurs, who are not inundated with natural wingers. Perhaps the prospect of a brand new stadium, and a manager like Pochettino could be very appealing to the player.
