Celtic’s centre-back pursuit has led them to a new target. According to L’Equipe, Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien is a summer target for Celtic.
The Bhoys would have to pay up to £9m for the towering 6ft 5in centre-half. But he could be their long-term replacement for Dedryck Boyata at the back.
Boyata has left Celtic on a free transfer, opting to move to Germany and join Hertha Berlin. Meanwhile, Filip Benkovic has returned to Leicester City after his loan spell.
This leaves a vacancy at centre-back. Neil Lennon will be eyeing centre-back reinforcements to compete with Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic.
Jullien fits the bill, having played over 100 games for Toulouse. He has also represented Auxerre, Dijon and German side Freiburg during his career.

But Celtic could be the next challenge for the 26-year-old. After proving himself in Ligue 1, the Frenchman might fancy testing himself in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic fans took to Twitter to discuss these transfer rumours. The Scottish champions need a new centre-back and Jullien could be their man. Here are some of the best tweets discussing this.
