Oliver Skipp has made a decision on his future at Tottenham Hotspur.

That is according to Football.London, which has reported what Skipp’s plans are.

So, what has been reported about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp? Let’s take a look.

Oliver Skipp wants to stay at Tottenham Hotspur

Well, according to Football.London, Oliver Skipp does not want to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed Skipp is “keen to battle for his spot rather than heading anywhere this month”, adding that the midfielder’s stance “ties in with Tottenham’s plans”.

Football.London, though, has noted that Spurs could sell Skipp in the summer of 2024 “depending on the sheer number of personnel in the midfield”.

The former England Under-21 international midfielder is out of contract at Spurs in the summer of 2027. Skipp, who, according to Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke, is “a highly-rated player”, has been on the books of Tottenham since 2008 and has come through from the youth system to establish himself in the first-team squad of the North London club.

My View: Big second half of the season needed for Oliver Skipp

In my opinion, if Oliver Skipp is to have a long-term future at Tottenham Hotspur, then the midfielder has to work hard in the coming months and impress head coach Ange Postecoglou in the second half of the season.

Skipp has made two starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season. The 23-year-old Englishman has played once in the Carabao Cup and has made one appearance in the FA Cup for the North London club this campaign.

It is not going to be easy for Skipp to play week in and week out for Spurs in the coming weeks and months, especially with Rodrigo Bentancur now back from injury. Tim Sherwood has concerns about him.

I believe that Skipp has to step up his game and impress in each and every match that he plays in.
