Florian Kamberi failed to prevent Rangers from slipping to a 2-1 defeat to Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening as the January loan signing was handed a brief cameo role at Rugby Park – and Hibernian fans have teased the striker.
Kamberi, 24, scored 30 goals and laid on 13 assists in 84 league and cup appearances for Hibernian. Despite that, the Albanian ace was allowed to join Rangers on deadline day after Jermaine Defoe suffered an injury to his calf.
The striker has now made two late appearances for Rangers from the bench, coming on in the 83rd minute against Aberdeen and was introduced even later on Wednesday night – as Kilmarnock came from behind to win at Rugby Park.
Scott Arfield scored a stunning goal for Rangers in the first half and Steven Gerrard’s looked in control. But defender Stephen O’Donnell equalised for Killie as Rangers failed to defend a corner – with some suggestions that a handball lead to the goal.

The anguish suffered by Rangers fans did not stop there. A long ball forward was flicked into the path of Eamonn Brophy, who finished with aplomb into the far corner past Allan McGregor. It saw Rangers go 10 points behind Celtic.
With Greg Docherty moving on loan to Easter Road in part of the deal to bring Kamberi to Ibrox, the midfielder has shone for Hibs – already scoring in the Cup and winning man of the match on Wednesday in a 3-0 win over Ross County.
Kamberi told the BBC: “Ever since I came to Scotland it has been a dream for me to move to Rangers and it has happened, so I am a very happy man,” which has angered Hibs fans. Now, they have teased Rangers over the signing of Kamberi.
