The Premier League returns this weekend after the first international break of the season, and Tottenham Hotspur take on Crystal Palace in their next game.
Spurs are without a win since their opening game having drawn with Manchester City, lost to Newcastle United and drawn with Arsenal.
It hasn’t been plain sailing so far, and several players are yet to start firing for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Harry Kane has three goals in the Premier League so far, although one has come from the penalty spot.
Arguably, the 26-year-old is yet to really hit top gear for his club and Spurs need him at his best with the fixtures about to starting piling up.
Kane was impressive for England over the international break and his link up play with Raheem Sterling in particular caught the eye.
Across the two games against Bulgaria and Kosovo, the pair combined for three goals and they seem to relish playing in the final third together.
Perhaps at club level, Heung-min Son can assume the role of Sterling in order to help Kane truly arrive in 2019/20.
The South Korean winger plays from the left as Sterling does and is surely best placed to help Kane reach top form.
Sterling and Kane are deadly together for the Three Lions, and Son has the potential to strike up a similar partnership with Kane for Spurs.
Son himself needs to get up and running for the season so as soon as things do click with Kane again, there’s a good chance he himself will be amongst the goals given the creative talents of the striker.
