Video: Heung-Min Son berates Tottenham teammate for what he did in training this week

Tottenham heads into this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa in good form and with a clean bill of health in the main to choose from.

Their main players, like Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son, are in good form, while at the back, Cristian Romero is doing an outstanding job alongside Eric Dier and Ben Davies. Of course, the wing-backs are playing well as well, as Antonio Conte seems to finally be getting a consistent tune out of his players.

Conte’s training sessions are thought to be key to how Spurs are playing. As we all know, the Italian demands intensity and effort from his stars, and he seems to have really upped the ante in terms of what is expected at Tottenham.

The recent inside training videos the club releases on YouTube are good insight into Conte’s ways. And this week, the eagle-eyed among us will have spotted the usually placid Heung-Min Son having a bit of a go with Harry Winks during one drill.

In a game of keep ball, Winks receives the ball in the middle before playing an aimless pass out of play and away from Son and his teammates. In the video, Son can be heard screaming something along the lines of ‘What was that!!!’ to the Spurs midfielder.

There probably wasn’t anything malicious in this at all and it was probably a bit of banter aimed at Winks from Sonny.

However, it does show that the drive and will to do well in training and in games is there. And that starts with the best players at the club, of which Son is one of them.

Son has been crucial for Tottenham under Conte and looks to be playing as well as ever. Winks, on the other hand, could be one who leaves this summer as Conte clears the decks.
