‘Worse than Lasogga’ – Leeds fans call for Patrick Bamford to be dropped

Leeds United dropped out of the automatic promotion spots after losing against Birmingham City. The Whites dropped to third as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at St Andrew’s against an out-of-sorts Birmingham side managed by ex-Leeds boss Garry Monk.

The performance was simply not good enough and Patrick Bamford’s wastefulness in front of goal proved costly.

Bamford failed to take any of his chances and is now four games without a goal and looking low on confidence. Prior to that, the 25-year-old scored four in four matches and it looked like his form would carry Leeds to promotion.

But his dip in form has been noticeable and some Leeds fans want him dropped. Kemar Roofe replaced Bamford in the second half and could take his place in the starting line-up soon.

Leeds are back in action on Tuesday night with a tricky test away at Preston North End. With Sheffield United not playing until Wednesday, Marcelo Bielsa’s men can return to the top two with a win.

Ahead of the game, some Leeds fans have been calling for Roofe to start ahead of Bamford. Here are some of the best tweets.
