Destiny Udogie should be back in action for Tottenham this weekend.

The Italian has had a bit of a spell on the sidelines lately due to injury, but now he’s back fit and should be ready to start against Crystal Palace.

Udogie’s return to action should be a big boost for Tottenham, and speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Scott Minto has been full of praise for the full-back.

Minto says that, in his opinion, Udogie is the best left-back in the Premier League right now, claiming that he’s just as good offensively as he is defensively.

Minto shared his verdict on the defender.

“I have to say I think he’s arguably been the best left-back in the Premier League. He gives so much going forwards, and defensively, except for in that Brentford game where he was involved in all five goals. He’s very good, and you need athletes to play Ange Postecoglou’s style, and for him to come in is a big boost for Spurs,” Minto said.

The £15m signing of Udogie last summer may well be one of the best recent signings in Premier League history.

It’s taken a year for Udogie to become a key player for Spurs after a loan spell back at Udinese, but now, he looks like an absolute bargain and he may well be the best left-back in the league right now.

As Minto says, Udogie is so crucial to the way Tottenham play, and if he can come back from injury and pick up where he left off in terms of his form, Spurs should be able to continue their current assault on the top four.
