‘He’s too good’: Some Arsenal fans say they’ve got a 20-year-old so talented it’s ‘insane’

A number of Arsenal fans have urged Mikel Arteta and Edu to send Folarin Balogun out on loan next year for first-team experience.

The 20-year-old striker is one of the brightest youngsters to come through the Hale End ranks academy in recent years.

Many Arsenal fans were thrilled when Balogun put pen to paper on a new long-term contract in April following months of negotiations.

However, Balogun still remains on the fringes of the first team, largely plying his trade for the Under-23s.

The youngster has eight goals and two assists from seven Premier League 2 two appearances this term.

Balogun has made two Premier League appearances, in the first two games of the season, but hasn’t featured in the top-flight since.

He has also made one appearance in the Carabao Cup, but remained an unused substitute against Leeds in midweek.

On Friday, Balogun delivered another goalscoring performance as he helped Arsenal U23s run out 4-2 winners over Leeds U23s.
