‘He’s still our player?’: Some Arsenal fans shocked by who they’ve spotted at Colney

Some Arsenal fans have reacted with shock after seeing a picture of Sead Kolasinac at London Colney ahead of training.

The Gunners defender appears surplus to requirements under Mikel Arteta and looks likely to leave the Emirates this summer.

Kolasinac joined Arsenal in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer from Schalke, and has clocked up 113 appearances in red and white.

However, he made just nine appearances for the Gunners last season, and ended up returning to Schalke on loan.

A permanent move back to the Gelsenkirchen outfit is very unlikely following their relegation from the Bundesliga.

But with Nuno Tavares apparently close to joining the Gunners, Kolasinac will probably drop further down the pecking order.

The 28-year-old has one year left on his contract but is eager for Arsenal to terminate his deal, according to Fanatik.

So it’s likely that he’ll leave this summer, but for the time being, he remains an Arsenal player.

That said, some Gunners supporters were still surprised to see him at London Colney, thinking he’d already left.
