Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has now given some very interesting insight to Kai Havertz’s ability and time at Arsenal thus far.

Jorginho was speaking on ‘The Athletic Football Podcast’ and took the time to explain some of the misconceptions about Havertz at Arsenal.

The Italian was very complimentary of Havertz, a player who he thought would soon be appreciated by all fans.

Jorginho said: “For me, he’s an unbelievable player to be honest. As a guy, no words, he’s so good, like such a nice guy, I love Kai.

“He became a friend and I always wanted the best for him. As a player, he has these qualities, his intelligence. It’s funny because you look at him and you think he’s not fast but he’s fast and then you think he’s not strong because maybe he looks skinny but he then he goes for a challenge and he’s strong.

“So, it takes a little while for people to understand his qualities and what he brings to the team. But the effort he puts in and how much hard work he puts in and his qualities just come out all of a sudden when he’s confidence is high like everyone else.

“His intelligence, his technique, his finishing, when he finishes I swear to you, it looks like he doesn’t care and then the ball goes into the corner! And I’m like, how do you do that?

“He’s such a huge player, this guy is so, so, so good and I hope that everyone can appreciate it.”

Jorginho is convinced that Kai Havertz will be a success at Arsenal

Of course, it does now seem as if Havertz’s late winner against Brentford has slightly calmed some of the negative noise down.

Havertz backed up that goal with an excellent performance against Lens in the Champions League, and has now reassured some fans of his quality.

The German has a very unique skill set, one that has rarely been seen since the polarising days of Mesut Ozil.

However, as Jorginho states, Havertz does have some much capacity to improve, a player already capable of winning games.

Mikel Arteta clearly has had a ton of faith in his £65m signing from the off, who could return to the starting XI against Luton.

And although Havertz’s signing should turn out to be a success, it’s another summer signing that is now being tipped for big things at Arsenal.

It does now feel as if things are starting to click at the Emirates at the right time heading into the busy festive period.

And although the side will be confident of a win tonight, Kenilworth Road can prove a tricky ground to visit.
