Arsenal starlet Emile Smith-Rowe has admitted to being hugely impressed by Jack Grealish, admitting he’s one of the best he’s faced in the Premier League.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Smith-Rowe was asked a number of questions by former Premier League midfielder, Jamie Redknapp.

And when the subject of who the best players he has faced so far in his young career came around, Smith-Rowe was under illusions as to who were the very best he’s come up against.

“Paul Pogba is definitely up there. So strong, so technically good. Jack Grealish, too. He’s so good, man. I look up to him. The way he is with the ball. The way he scores, assists and creates, he’s so good. Bukayo tells me he’s a great guy, too,” Smith-Rowe told Redknapp.

Interestingly, Grealish is a player who has been tipped for Arsenal at times in the last 12 months. Obviously, he’s going to be out of their price range now, but Arsene Wenger previously lauded the Aston Villa star as well.

“I like Jack Grealish. He has mastered how to play slow and quick,” Wenger said in February.

Smith-Rowe could end up being in direct competition with Grealish in the England set up should he continue his fine form.

The rise of Grealish in the last few years has been phenomenal. He is a player who is now one of the best in the country and Smith-Rowe is right to be impressed.

Being they are both playing a similar position at the moment, it’s something the Arsenal man can look at bringing into his game.

If he can hit the levels that Grealish has shown these last 12 months, then there is no doubt the Gunners will have a fine player on their hands.
