‘He’s really good’: William Saliba says ‘physical’ Arsenal player is actually amazing on the ball

William Saliba has been full of praise for Declan Rice at Arsenal.

Speaking on the Amazon Prime Sport TikTok channel, Saliba was tasked with comparing many of his Arsenal teammates to different cars, and he gave an interesting answer when he spoke about Rice.

The defender stated that Rice reminds him of a Lamborghini Urus – which is a Range Rover-esque Lamborghini, stating that his combination of physicality, speed and ability on the ball reminds him of the elegance of this car.

The defender spoke highly of his Arsenal teammate.

“Declan Rice?”

“Declan Rice? A Lamborghini Urus, yeah, he’s physical, fast and he’s really good with the ball as well,” Saliba said.

Winning combination

Saliba is absolutely right about Rice, he has the perfect combination of pace, strength and class on the ball.

Rice is a real jack of all trades in that regard. He can play easily as a destroyer, a driving force or even a playmaker when needed, and while he does have areas where he needs to improve, his raw attributes are fantastic.

Strong, fast and totally in control. It’s easy to see why Saliba has compared Rice to this particular car.

Arsenal spent massively on Rice this summer, and he’s working towards justifying that pricetag after a fantastic start to life in north London.

Of course, success can only be judged at the end of the season as Arsenal look to finally win that elusive Premier League title for the first time in 20 years, and while they have had a fantastic start, there’s a long way to go in this title race.

Rice has elevated Arsenal to a new level, and we can only hope that he can keep up this level of performance for the Gunners and England.
