Mikel Arteta believes Martin Odegaard is ‘hitting form’ and has praised the Arsenal captain for his recent displays.
The Gunners star got on the scoresheet at Turf Moor yesterday as Mikel Arteta’s men picked up a 5-0 win on the road.
Martin Odegaard opened the scoring with a delightful finish from the edge of the box after some good work down the left-hand side from Gabriel Martinelli.

The Norwegian also grabbed an assist on the day as he set up Bukayo Saka for his second goal of the afternoon.
Saka has already labelled his captain’s most recent display as ‘magical’ and Arteta was full of praise for Odegaard after Saturday’s game.
Arteta says Odegaard is ‘hitting form’ for Arsenal
As quoted by Arsenal’s official website, Arteta singled out Odegaard for praise and believes the midfielder is in brilliant form at the moment.
“I think confidence-wise he’s in a really good moment, and physically as well with the way he applies himself; defending, attacking, the connection, the movement that he gave us on the right-hand side, it’s really good. He’s hitting form,” the Gunners boss said.

It’s fair to say that Odegaard wasn’t at his best earlier this term but he has really stepped up for Arsenal in recent weeks.
The playmaker has grabbed three assists and one goal in his last two league appearances for the Gunners.
Odegaard ran the show at Turf Moor yesterday and the £30 million man was central to Arsenal’s best moments in the game.
The win at Burnley saw Arsenal leapfrog Manchester City in the table and they currently sit just two points behind league leaders Liverpool.
With the likes of Odegaard finding his best form at just the right time for Arsenal, Arteta’s men are right back in the hunt for the Premier League title this season.
