'He's got it all': BBC pundit says Liverpool have an incredible 20-year-old in their ranks
Liverpool ace Neco Williams delivered a wonderful display for Wales in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
The Reds right-back has made 28 appearances for Liverpool since making his debut in October 2019.
Williams is somewhat unlucky at Anfield by virtue of having arguably Trent Alexander-Arnold – one of the best right-backs in world football – ahead of him in the pecking order.
However, the 20-year-old is developing nicely as a player and, on Tuesday, got plenty of fans talking thanks to his superb Dragons display on the left side.
The Liverpool gem helped his nation record a crucial point in a 1-1 draw against Belgium to secure a second-place finish in Group E.
This means home advantage in the play-off semi-finals for an eventual place at Qatar 2022.
Williams was a constant thorn in Belgium’s side from the left, but also did so well from a defensive perspective.
In the 84th minute, the Reds gem came close to adding a second for Wales.
He burst inside following an impressive break and saw his drive brilliantly saved by Koen Casteels.
“What a player we have got in Neco Williams,” Kevin Ratcliffe said on BBC Radio Wales (16/11, 21:26). “He’s got it all.”
Wales will find out their playoff fate when the draw is made on 26 November.
Liverpool are back in action on Saturday, when they host Arsenal in the Premier League.
