Jermaine Jenas has been picking his best Tottenham team from players he played with and the current squad and has spoken highly of new goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario.
The Italian goalkeeper has been a revelation since he signed. Signed for £17m in the summer to replace Hugo Lloris, Vicario has done better than a lot imagined.
Indeed, Clive Allen has admitted he’s been surprised at just how good the new stopper has been, while James Maddison praised Vicario as well, despite admitting he’d not heard of him before he signed.
The 27-year-old looks like he has been in the Premier League years and his latest round of praise has come from former Spurs midfielder Jenas.
Jermaine Jenas says Vicario has everything
Jenas was tasked by the Daily Mail with picking his best players from those he played with and those who feature in the first-team right now.
The ex-Spurs midfielder was a bit stumped over a few calls and struggled to decide.

However, when it came to a choice between Vicario and former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Jenas was in doubt as to who he was going with.
“Vicario. I look at Vicario and I just think he’s the all-round package. He’s got everything,” Jenas said.
Vicario has definitely looked the business for Spurs and with Jenas ranking him above Robinson, that is high praise indeed given the former England man’s career.
Tottenham have struggled for years to get someone in who genuinely could replace Lloris. But they appear to have done it now and they’ve done it at a bargain price as well.
The top clubs who win trophies all have good goalkeepers. See Alisson and Ederson, for example. And it now looks like Tottenham have got their own quality stopper as well.
Of all Spurs’ summer signings, there is a strong argument to suggest Vicario has actually been the best of the lot.
