Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son has been one of the Premier League’s best players in recent years and deserves to be considered in the category of world-class.

Son, 28, is a versatile attacker that usually players in a wide left position or through the centre and he’s formed a brilliant partnership with teammate Harry Kane during his time in North London.

The South Korean forward moved to Spurs over five years ago for £22million (BBC) from Bayer Leverkusen and has been an incredible bargain.

His form this season has seen him score 10 goals and supply five assists across all competitions, making him one of the most vital individuals in Jose Mourinho’s XI.

O’Hara is blown away by the overall talent of the 28-year-old:

“He’s got everything. He’s got pace. He’s got power. He can score goals. He can bring others into the game,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

“For me, I don’t even know how this is a debate and actually listening to some of the people saying he’s not world-class was winding me up.

“He’s playing in the best league in the world. He’s scored eight goals in eight games this season, two assists. He’s been doing it for a number of seasons now, it’s not like he’s turned up and all of a sudden he’s had a few good games. He’s consistently one of the best players in the Premier League every season, so how can you not say he’s world-class.”

TBR’s View:

Aside from England captain Kane, Son has arguably been the most in-form player in the Premier League so far this season and he’s beeen operating at such a high standard in the last few years.

The left-winger has managed to master the art of timing his runs infield and is now such a clinical finisher around the penalty box.

With such firepower going forward, Spurs boss Mourinho has to be eyeing silverware this season and supporters even feel the Premier League should be a target given how open the title race is looking.
