‘He’s going to Spurs’: Even some Arsenal fans think Tottenham are about to sign 23-year-old now

Even some Arsenal fans are starting to believe that Houssem Aouar is off to Tottenham Hotspur to join Nuno now.

North London battle

Le 10 Sport claimed yesterday that Tottenham have joined the race to sign the midfielder, with Fabio Paratici looking to seal his first signing at the club.

The French source claims that Spurs can actually offer more than Arsenal for Aouar, as they are in better financial health than the Gunners.

Those claims of Tottenham’s interest were then backed up by French journalist Julien Laurens.

And Arsenal fans are starting to fear that Aouar could jump across to the North London rivals.

Aouar to Tottenham?

Aouar has been a long term target of Arsenal’s so if he was to impress at Spurs it would be a bitter pill to swallow for the Gunners.

However, there are no guarantees that Aouar would be a roaring success.

His last season at Lyon was a disappointment, but for a player of his quality at his reported current asking price of £17 million (Le10), the deal could be a real bargain.

If he was to join Tottenham he would be competing for a place with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli for a first team place.
