Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte and Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard aren’t really similar with their philosophies, but The Telegraph reveal one thing that’s common between the two of them.

Conte’s arrival at North London has really changed the way people look at Tottenham now. The Italian is a proven winner and his record over the years at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan speaks for itself.

Gerrard, on the other hand, doesn’t quite have the experience or the CV that Conte has. He is still very new to management, but the work he did at Rangers showed the world that he has what it takes to become a top manager.

So, what do the two new Premier League bosses have in common?

Villa boss Gerrard has just done what Conte did at Tottenham

Conte’s decision to ban fizzy drinks, ketchup, fast food and mayonnaise made the headlines right after he took charge of Spurs. The Italian’s strict rules have paid dividends over the years and there’s no reason why it won’t work at Tottenham.

Gerrard, who would’ve surely taken notes while he was gearing up to be a manager, really believes in a strict diet as well.

The report claims that the Englishman has banned fizzy drinks, sauces, puddings and hot chocolate at Aston Villa. A number of other sauces, including mayonnaise, have also been taken off the menu at Bodymoor Heath.

Some Spurs fans, predictably, are taking credit for Aston Villa’s new diet plans. Here’s how a few of them reacted to the news on Twitter…
