Manchester United may well be looking for a new manager this summer.
Erik Ten Hag isn’t doing the best of jobs at the Red Devils, and there’s been plenty of chat about a change at Old Trafford this summer.
Rio Ferdinand made quite the claim about the Manchester United job recently, claiming that Mikel Arteta would take the job right away if he was offered it.
Alan Smith has now shared his verdict on this situation when answering a question in a Q&A session on Reddit, and he says that Arteta absolutely wouldn’t leave Arsenal, claiming that he’s come too far and has too much of a future at Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta wouldn’t join Manchester United
Smith shared his verdict on the £158k-a-week Arsenal man,
“Will Arteta leave for Man U if he was offered the job right now?” Smith was asked.
“No. He’s got it all in front of him at Arsenal. And he’s come too far to quit now,” Smith responded.
Why would he?
Smith is spot on, Mikel Arteta would have no reason to leave Arsenal for Manchester United right now.
The Gunners are way better than the Red Devils at this moment in time, while Arteta has a very young and exciting squad on his hands right now.
Arteta will be salivating at the idea of managing Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba into their primes, and while a move to Manchester United is always alluring, Arsenal are the more exciting club at the moment, especially with big-money signings like Declan Rice and Kai Havertz coming through the door recently.
Manchester United may well cast a glance at a manager like Arteta this summer, but we really would be surprised if the Arsenal boss decided to jump ship at this juncture with so many exciting things happening at the Emirates right now.
