'He's a super talent': Two Sky pundits agree that Arsenal have an absolute gem on their hands
Kevin Phillips and Kevin Campbell were both left purring over the quality of Bukayo Saka’s performance for Arsenal last night on Sky Sports.
Saka was in wonderful form as Arsenal stormed to a 6-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
The winger got his first goal of the season as he combined well with Martin Odegaard, before finishing neatly on his right-foot.
Saka was a constant threat throughout the match, before he was substituted off.
And Phillips said: “He just never shies away from the ball, he always wants the ball, and he was just involved in everything this evening.
“As the game went on you thought he might fade, but he got stronger and stronger and that’s the sign of a top quality player, which we all know he is.
“He’s everywhere, he’s so direct. He’s just a class player.”
“He is, and he’s so young,” Campbell added. “He’s 19, nearly 20, he’s a baby.
“He’s a super talent and a super player and he will be an Arsenal star for years to come.”
Saka limps off
The worrying thing for Arsenal is that Saka did limp off with a problem towards the end of the contest.
Mikel Arteta was tight lipped over the injury after the match, but there are concerns that he could be sidelined.
With Arsenal facing Manchester City at the weekend, that is the last thing the Gunners need.
Saka’s pace and fearlessness will be crucial against Pep Guardiola’s men, if Arsenal are to have any hope of getting a result.
Arsenal have failed to score or register a point in the Premier League over the season to date, but last night’s win should at least have boosted their confidence somewhat.
