However, according to Havertz, the funniest player he’s ever played with is actually a former Chelsea teammate who he only spent a season with.

Indeed, speaking on Pro Direct Soccer’s TikTok page, Havertz has named Marc Cucurella as the funniest player he’s ever worked with, claiming that he’s a crazy guy behind the scenes who really made him laugh.

“The funniest I think has to be Cucurella, he’s a crazy guy and very funny. I really enjoyed my time with him,” Havertz said.

It’s great to hear that Cucurella is keeping spirits high at Chelsea, because, at the moment, it must be very difficult to smile in that Stamford Bridge dressing room.

The Blues have been truly awful over the past 18 months, and it would be very easy for heads to drop over this period.

Cucurella hasn’t been the best performer on the pitch during this time, but he seems to still be having a positive influence behind the scenes, and while being a court jester isn’t why Cucurella is being paid massive money by the Blues, bringing that element of light-heartedness and fun to the dressing room really does help a team that are in this sort of funk.

Cucurella is a great character by the sounds of things, and that will help Mauricio Pochettino cultivate a more positive atmosphere behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge.
