Arsenal are being linked with Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter claim he would be a great signing for them.
According to 90min, Arsenal have contacted rivals Man United to ask about the midfielder’s future.
Surprisingly, it’s been a difficult first year in English football for Van de Beek, who’s looked a shadow of the player that he was at Ajax. As a result, his reputation has taken a bit of a battering.
He’s renowned as a box-to-box central midfielder, but couldn’t force his way into the best XI of Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
The 24-year-old’s return of one goal in 36 appearances is disappointing. Moreover, he managed just two assists.
However, a selection of Arsenal supporters on social media believe he’s still a major talent that could help them.

Van de Beek could undo Premier League flop status at Arsenal
If you write Van de Beek off after one season at Man United, it could come back to bite you.
The central midfielder will be the first to admit it’s been a poor 2020/21 campaign from him. However, he’ll be hoping for a bounce during his second in England.
90min’s report doesn’t mention Man United’s stance on Van de Beek’s, but it would be a big surprise for him to move to London after just a year in Manchester.
