'Here we go': Fabrizio Romano claims 'unbelievable' Arsenal target is now joining another club
Arsenal have been linked with Raphinha for most of the summer.
But now, it looks as though this transfer saga can finally be put to bed.
Despite reports suggesting Raphinha was going elsewhere, Arsenal remained linked with the Leeds star.
Last Thursday, the Evening Standard reported that Arsenal hadn’t given up hope of signing Raphinha.
This was despite the Elland Road star ‘having already snubbed’ the Gunners and Tottenham.
And on Friday, one report suggested there may have been a way back in for Arsenal and other suitors.
According to The Mirror, Barca were considering pulling the plug on their Raphinha interest if Ousmane Dembele stayed put.
And more recently, Mundo Deportivo listed Arsenal and Tottenham as two clubs that had made larger offers than Barca.
But now, Fabrizio Romano has given his “here we go” seal of approval to Raphinha joining Barcelona.
Leeds have reportedly accepted a deal worth €67m (£56.5m) for the “unbelievable” Brazilian.
Now it’s “time for documents and contracts” before his imminent move to Camp Nou.
The likelihood is that many Arsenal fans will have mentally crossed Raphinha off their transfer option list a while ago.
Serge Gnabry is reportedly on the Gunners’ radar – could they make a move for their former player this summer?
