Aston Villa have sacked Steve Bruce. The manager has been let go after a poor start to the season at Villa Park. It comes after the 3-3 draw with struggling Preston North End this week saw him booed off the pitch.
The overwhelming feeling from Aston Villa fans is that this is for the best. Bruce appeared to have lost the fans and the players were no longer responding to him either.

For some, it will be sad to see Bruce to go. However, one man at Aston Villa will be pleased to see the back of him.
Bruce signed Henri Lansbury from Nottingham Forest in January 2017 for a fee in the region of £3 million.
However, the player who had established a reputation as one of the best midfielders in the Championship has struggled under Bruce and has not played a single minute of league football this season.
Despite being on a reported wage of £40k-a-week, Aston Villa boss Bruce continually ignored Lansbury this season.
In fairness, the midfielder has done little to stake a claim when given a rare chance. But hopefully, the appointment of a new manager can spark him into life. Considering former Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry is the early favourite to get the role, Lansbury could be in line for a revival.
