‘He’ll tarnish any reputation’: Pundit believes Kane will ruin his Spurs legacy if he does this
Darren Ambrose believes Harry Kane will ruin his reputation at Tottenham if he forced a move this summer.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the ex-Crystal Palace star claimed that the England captain will ‘tarnish’ his legacy with Spurs if he returns for pre-season not willing to train with the squad to facilitate a transfer.
Manchester City are reportedly eager on Kane this summer. Moreover, the striker is eager for a new challenge in his career.
As well as an opportunity to win silverware, something the attacker is yet to achieve at Spurs.
And Ambrose believes Kane will ruin any good faith with Tottenham supporters if he acts out of line this summer.
The pundit said: “Harry Kane is the main man at Tottenham and idolised by the supporters. I think he’ll tarnish any reputation and anything he brings to Tottenham by doing this.”
With Kane returning to Spurs at the end of the month, the future of the Tottenham star remains unknown. The striker was key to England reaching the Euro 2020 final this summer.
As reported by the Sun, City are keen to offload fringe players this summer to recoup the finances needed to make a move for the Tottenham star.
Indeed, City are eager to sign Kane as the club’s main replacement for Sergio Aguero. Yet with Daniel Levy standing his ground on his talisman, the England captain will likely remain in north London for another season.
