Arsenal might well be favourites to go on and win the Premier League title now.
The Gunners are top of the league after 15 games, and with Manchester City looking more than a bit off the pace at the moment the north London club are in a great position to go on and win the league.
The north London club have been brilliant this season, and according to Paul Merson, speaking on Off The Ball, Declan Rice has been the difference maker this term.
Merson says that Rice is the best in the business, and he thinks that if Arsenal are indeed to go on and win the league, he will be the one to make the difference.

Rice will make the difference
Merson shared his verdict on the midfielder and Arsenal’s title chances.
“Before the goal I was thinking how will they win the league if they can’t win at Luton and then they go and score the goal and they don’t know when they’re beaten. They have Declan Rice who I think is the best in the business and I think he’s only gotten better,” Merson said.
“He’s been doing it for a long time now, he took West Ham to another level, he’s top-draw, he does everything right, he’s a top player, he doesn’t try to be Odegaard, he gets the ball and he gives it. He’s a dream. He’s like Rodri, they do the simple things so well, Roy Keane was like it, he did the simple things so well. I can’t talk highly enough of him, if they win it he’ll be the difference.”
Making the difference
Merson may well be right, Rice could be the difference-maker for Arsenal this season.
He’s already won the Gunners four extra points with late goals against Luton and Manchester United, and that’s before we even mention his general midfield play.
Rice has proven to be a brilliant addition to this Arsenal side, and he could well be the player to get them over the line in their quest to win the league title.
