'He'll be off': Pundit expects 'unbelievable' Leeds player to leave in the summer now
American pundit Stuart Holden has praised the performance of Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams against England.
Adams was a key part of the USA midfield which dominated the Three Lions and perhaps deserved more than a 0-0 draw last night.
The result means that England are basically through to the next round unless they collapse and lose by a heavy margin to Wales.
America have their fate in their own hands and if they beat Iran in their final group game, they will qualify too.
Holden on Adams
Adams has been described as ‘unbelievable‘ since joining Leeds and his quality shone through once again last night.
Holden tweeted that he has had an ‘outstanding’ tournament so far, which he will be hoping extends into the knockout stages.
But he also touted him for a move away if he keeps his form going between now and the end of the season.
That is unlikely to go down well with Leeds fans, especially as he just joined the club in the summer as they sought to replace Kalvin Phillips.
The Whites cannot just keep selling and replacing their top players every summer, even though recruiting wisely is a fundamental for any club.
Of course, if Jesse Marsch got sacked, the landscape may change for Adams, and it definitely would if Leeds were relegated, but we’re a long way off that yet.
