‘Heard that one before!’: Spurs fans react after hearing De Bruyne out for City

Spurs will open their 21/22 Premier League campaign with a tough game against Manchester City tomorrow afternoon.

It’s as tough a start as Tottenham and new manager Nuno Santo, with added spice involved due to the ongoing situation surrounding Harry Kane.

As yet, it remains to be seen if Kane will start tomorrow. Santo was due to meet with the England striker this evening, at which point a decision will be made on the Spurs star.

But, rather than dwell on the negatives, there has been some positive news for Spurs fans with the news that Kevin De Bruyne will be missing for Manchester City.

The Belgian is still nursing an ankle injury from the Euros, and reports claim he will have no chance of taking part tomorrow. Naturally, Spurs fans are delighted with the news.

Twitter was awash with comments from Tottenham fans. And while some issued tongue-in-cheek responses, others firmly believe that it increases their chances of getting a result.
