Martin Dubravka played a crucial role for Newcastle United once again last night as they picked up a point on the road.

Newcastle drew 1-1 with Everton after Salomon Rondon’s first half goal was ruled out by Richarlison.

But the Magpies had Dubravka to thank for keeping the scores level.

The Slovakia international was on hand to make some impressive saves and earn Newcastle a valuable point.

Once again, Dubravka was solid between the sticks, as he has been so often for Newcastle this season.

Rafa Benitez has been able to rely on the 29-year-old, who has been one of the rare bright sparks throughout the entire campaign this season.

He joined on a permanent deal in the summer after a successful loan spell last season and he has gone from strength to strength at St James’ Park.

Dubravka’s impressive goalkeeping has laid the foundation for Newcastle to move away from the relegation zone.

Yesterday’s point takes Newcastle four points clear of the drop zone as they sit in 14th place.
