Hugo Lloris wants to have a meeting with Daniel Levy at the end of the season about his Tottenham future.

Speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, The Times’ Tom Allnutt has been discussing Lloris after he was offered a huge deal to go and play his football in Saudi Arabia next season.

The French goalkeeper will undoubtedly be very tempted by a big money move to the Saudi Pro League, and according to Allnutt, the goalkeeper now wants to pencil in a meeting with Daniel Levy at the end of the season.

Lloris wants Levy meeting

Allnutt shared what he knows about the £12m man.

“The idea that he could be trebling his wages is going to be very tempting. It remains to be seen, the idea is that he wants to speak with Daniel Levy at the end of the season, but we know that Spurs are looking for long-term replacements for Lloris. There is a general feeling that it may be time for all parties to move on, and he’s ready for a new challenge,” Allnutt said.

Time to go

It’s hard to imagine that this meeting will end with any other conclusion than both Levy and Lloris deciding that it’s time for the goalkeeper to move on.

Lloris has clearly lost a step this season. He’s made a number of high-profile errors as of late, and he’s set to be replaced this summer.

As a World Cup winning captain, one has to believe that Lloris is above sitting on the bench for a season for a team like Spurs, and after over a decade of good service, nobody can bemoan Lloris’ decision to go and collect a massive payday at the end of his career.

Lloris and Levy will likely shake hands and go their separate ways after this meeting.
