Sky Sports Germany journalist Marc Behrenbeck has some bad news for Tottenham Hotspur fans as he has now revealed that Harry Kane will not sign a new contract at Spurs.
The saga surrounding the Englishman’s future was a huge one last summer. Kane’s blockbuster interview with Gary Neville followed by Manchester City’s pursuit of him made it a fun watch for the neutrals, but it was horrible for Spurs fans.
Daniel Levy made it clear that he wasn’t going to let Kane leave and the Tottenham chairman won that battle. The England skipper stayed in North London and unfortunately for him, he has had to go through another trophy-less campaign.
The summer transfer window is fast approaching and Spurs fans’ fears are slowly going up again.
Sky journalist: Harry Kane will not sign new contract, he wants to leave Tottenham
Speaking on the Transfer Update – the show on Sky Sports Germany, Behrenbeck revealed that the Tottenham superstar will once again try to secure a move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City this summer.
He said: “He is not renewing his contract and wants to try again in the summer to go to Manchester City.
“He fits perfectly into the system (of Pep Guardiola).
“In addition, it would be almost the last chance for him (to get a big move) because of his age.”

TBR View:
It was always likely that Kane would look for a way out of Tottenham again after last summer. That likelihood only increased after Spurs crashed out of the Carabao Cup and also the FA Cup recently.
The only way Daniel Levy can convince Kane to stay would be by backing Antonio Conte heavily in the summer transfer window. Even that may not work out if Spurs fail to get into Champions League next season.
On the flip side, there could be more bad news for Kane. The same Sky journalist has claimed that Manchester City’s priority target this summer is Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
If Guardiola manages to sign the Norwegian, the need for Kane will be eliminated and that could leave the Englishman with no choice but to stay at Tottenham.
